Dare To Live!

I'm going through Seizing your Divine Moment, by Erwin McManus, again. I read it a couple of years ago and wanted to share a couple of insights from chapter 1. I hope you enjoy!
  • When you seize a divine moment, you instigate an atomic reaction. You become a human catalyst creating a divine impact. The result can be earthshaking.
  • How we view God dramatically affects the persons we become. How we understand God to work radically affects the life we live in God.
  • The most important moments rarely come at a convenient time.
  • The Bible is full of stories about people who were rudely interrupted by God. We read them and long to have the kind of adventure experienced by those men and women. Yet when God interrupts us, are we willing to respond on a moment's notice?
  • To live in the past is to relinquish the future. If you are willing to let go of the past, then you are ready to step into the future. When you choose to remain stuck in a moment, you become incapable of seizing your divine moments.
  • Life is the sum total of what you do with the moments given you.
  • The most spiritual activity you will engage in today is making choices. All the other activities that we describe as spiritual - worship, prayer, meditation - are there to connect us to God and prepare us to live.
  • When you choose to move with God on His adventure, nothing can stop you from fulfilling God's purpose for your life.
  • The quest is to live the life God created you to experience. The journey begins right now - in this moment. And whatever you do, don't underestimate what you may find.
